My wife Bronwen and I are both originally from Cape Town and moved up to Johannesburg in the early 1990s. We have been residents of Chartwell since 2003. Our daughter Lauren was born in Johannesburg in 2004.
I have worked in corporate finance and banking since leaving University, and I am the CEO of a private equity fund. I do have a slightly irreverent personality unlike the normal finance chap. I love the eccentric characters who make Chartwell their home – even the irritating ones who shall remain nameless have a certain charm. I have grown to love the charm of living in Chartwell and enjoy the freedom of the space and lifestyle.
I am an information addict and spend a lot of time in front of monitors and TV screens. I really enjoy reading non-fiction and biographies of the lives of interesting people, especially sportsmen and women. I enjoy exercise, but recently have spent too little time actually exercising.
I believe we are in a very challenging period in our country and a firm no nonsense approach with a flexible attitude is needed to thrive. We have the people resources in Chartwell, and because we are unique in our character we are better placed to make a positive contribution by working together.
